Gold Price in Pakistan Today

This page shows the latest gold rate in Pakistan per tola, per 10 grams and per gram for 24K, 22K, 21K and 18K gold, along with the silver price.

How Gold Prices Are Set in Pakistan

Pakistan imports nearly all of its gold, so the local price follows the international gold price in US dollars, converted at the rupee–dollar exchange rate. When the dollar gets stronger against the rupee, gold becomes more expensive in Pakistan even if the world price is flat. Local Sarafa associations announce a daily rate that can include a small premium or discount to the international price, and jewellers add making charges on top.

Which Gold Should I Buy: 24K, 22K or 21K?

24K gold is the purest and is mostly sold as bars and coins for investment. Most jewellery in Pakistan is made from 22K or 21K gold because pure gold is too soft for daily wear. When you sell jewellery, it is valued by its karat and weight, and making charges are usually not refunded, so bars and coins hold their value better as an investment.
